The Bush Hog Flex-Wing Rotary Cutter is designed to cut weeds, grasses, and brush up to 2 1/2-inches diameter, and this unit is a great choice for tractors in the 60 to HPclass. The is recommended for pasture maintenance, corn shredding, drainage areas and general maintenance locations such as air strips. The PTO Link system turns what is normally a difficult and time consuming process into an easy task. Simply attach the male plate of the PTO Link to your PTO drive-line then attach the female plate to the tractor's PTO spline. Disconnecting your PTO shaft is now as simple as pulling the release on the spring-loaded shear pin.
You must pull back the silver collar at the end of the drive shaft that slides on the PTO 1st. It is a very snug fit and requires some "Oomph" but its doable. Re: Bush Hog driveline won't lock onto PTO This may or may not be an issue, but the PTO coupler clearances can be really tight, and the grease you added could actually be making things worse.
I would try to remove all the grease and have the coupler and PTO shaft as clean as possible. The WD40 or another thin oil shouldn't cause a problem.

I had no problem lining it up and sliding it on the PTO but could not get it past the first 1 inch or so. Jun 19, Once all three arms and hitches are securely connected, hook the end of the rotary cutter drive shaft to the power take off, or PTO, of the tractor. You can achieve this by matching up the female splines of the drive shaft to the male splines of the PTO shaft. Pull the lock collar back as you push the female and male splines together.
